Bernia Research Group

The consolidated Bernia Research Group classifies the areas where the concept of support in the XXI century outside the three classic genres of painting, sculpture and architecture appear, understanding support as part of interventions in nature, as the Dessiner sur l’herbe in architecture, city and landscape, as part of the Re-presentation of the drawing, which even includes Literary Construction in the poetics of nature.

Areas of research:

• The Bernia Group follows a line of research on supports in the Fine Arts,considering only paper as a means of drawing as a concept, as thought, but as well the area, the soil as support both in sculpting and in the contemporary gardening, following the line of research of Dessiner sur l’herbe by professor Renato Bocchi at the University of Venice.
