Bridges’ work builds on the legacies of romanticism and modernism to explore the possibilities surrounding DIY designed technologies as these relate to idealism and use. Solar Array, an animation depicting the transportation, unfolding and installation of a solar energy collecting device in a northern landscape, locates an abstracted schematic in proximity to a naturalistic reflection of the surroundings.
